A Little Fall Of Rain, Les Misérables

A little fall of rain es un tema del musical Les Misérables, que necesita poca presentación. Basado en la obra de Victor Hugo, fue compuesto por Claude-Michel Schönberg, con letra original (en francés) de Alain Boublil y Jean-Marc Natel, y libreto inglés escrito por Herbert Kretzmer. El musical se inauguró en París en 1980, pero su versión más conocida es la del West End londinense, estrenada en 1985. Es el musical de más larga duración en el West End, seguido de El Fantasma de la Ópera. Ha sido representado por todo el mundo, además de haberse organizado dos conciertos en su honor (10th and 25th Anniversary). En su estreno en Broadway en 1987 ganó 8 premios Tony.

Transcurre en Francia a principios del siglo XIX, y cuenta la historia de Jean Valjean y su viaje a la redención  en un ambiente de revolución y descontento social.

A little fall of rain es el momento en el que Éponine, enamorada de uno de los estudiantes revolucionarios, muere en las barricadas parisinas entregándole una carta de su amada, Cosette.

En mi opinión, Les Misérables es uno de los mejores musicales que se han escrito, y esta es una de las canciones más preciosas, aunque no de las más conocidas. El video que he puesto es del Concierto del Décimo Aniversario en el Albert Hall de Londres. La interpretan Lea Salonga y Michael Ball, espectaculares cantantes de musicales. Yo diría (y mucha más gente ;) ) que de los mejores.

Es una adaptación complicadilla, espero haber logrado algo aceptable.¡Espero que la disfrutéis! =D
